Circuit Rider Productions of Windsor will hold its annual Spring
Plant Sale on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 9619 Old
Redwood Hwy. You can call 838-6641 for directions and a current
plant availability list, including plant sizes and prices. Some of
the plants featured include big leaf maple, blue elderberry,
buckeye, California honeysuckle, oaks, stream dogwood, western
redbud and willows.
Bilingual talks about gangs
A free bilingual program titled “Gangs – Our Children”
will be presented at five Sonoma County regional libraries during
April and May. The program will feature a panel of community
experts, social workers, police, clergy and those savvy about gang
activity at a local level. The program is aimed at the general
public interested in finding out more about the gang problem and
what they can do about it. The program will be at the Healdsburg
Library on Monday, May 1 at 7 p.m., the Windsor Library on Tuesday,
May 9 at 7 p.m. and at the Santa Rosa Main Library on Saturday, May
13 at 2 p.m. The program will be moderated by Bob Florez, a gang
awareness professional from the Petaluma area.
