It was another successful volleyball season for the Eagles, wrapping up the 2018 campaign with a pair of matches last week.
Cloverdale (5-9, 8-17) played home and away matches in the final stretch of league play, beginning with an Oct. 16 visit to Fort Bragg. The Eagles gave the Timberwolves a good battle but fell in straight sets; 21-25, 10-25, 23-25.
Cloverdale played host to Clear Lake on Oct. 18 on Senior Night, honoring graduating veterans Aly Bernal, Xenia Nichols, Marina Lopez and Angelina Cordova as they played their last high school match.
The Eagles gave the Cardinals all they wanted before succumbing in three sets; 20-25, 23-25, 24-26.
Statistical leaders for Cloverdale were Tehya Bird (12 kills, 20 digs, 9 service points) and Nichols (10 kills, 2 blocks).
