The California Mille, an annual event for classic car aficionados, rolled through Healdsburg on Monday. The event, which began Monday morning in San Francisco, ends today, April 27, in Calistoga.
The event was marred by a crash in Mendocino Tuesday night that claimed the life of the driver, a Hawaii resident whose name was not released at press time. The passenger in the 1939 Jaguar, Ai Origake, sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital.
Dozens of cars were parked in the Hotel Healdsburg parking lot overnight on Monday and the drivers headed north Tuesday morning.
