(Sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne. Sort of.)

Should Roy Moore be forgot
And never get to serve
May Douglas Jones shine so bright
And show a steely nerve.
For hope appears to have returned
Yes, hope appears again
We pray for no more crazy tweets
From loony little men.
The flames around, they charred and singed
But never brought us down
We stood up tall and pitched right in
In each and every town.
The little man who thinks he leads
While spouting hate and lies
He needs a cup of kindness thrown
Right between his eyes.
Let’s tax the rich and feed the poor
And make healthcare a right
Those “power” men who push us down
Let’s shame them out of sight.
No matter color, race or sex
In whatever God we trust
Freedom is a precious gift
And equality’s a must.
Lets shun the bias and the hate
The vile vitriol
And welcome folks from everywhere
True justice is for all.
Our nation was already great
Before the liar “led”
Let’s send him out to pasture soon
Impeach and go to bed.
For hope appears to have returned
Yes, hope appears again
We pray for no more crazy tweets
From men with skin so thin.
