Bruce Anderson died on July 2, 2008 after a courageous battle
with Alzheimer’s Disease in his final years..  
Anderson had lived in Sebastopol since 1950, graduating from
Analy High in 1960. He served in the Air Force and then worked and
was a co-owner of Weeks Drilling and Pump for more than 26 years.
 
Fellow Rotarians remember Anderson as an incredibly bright,
generous, creative, hardworking, and fun-loving man. He was an
active member of the club and served as president in 1986-87. He
also was a member of the Hessel Church for many years.  Despite
battling Alzheimer’s disease since 1995, Anderson continued giving
much to his friends and family.  
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Sherry; two
step-children, Timothy Beach of Sebastopol and Jennifer
Borsukiewicz of England; brother, Barry Anderson and numerous
nieces and nephews.  
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13  at
Hessel Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations
be made to either the Sebastopol Rotary Education Foundation or
Hessel Church Building Fund.
