Update: According to the Cloverdale Police Department, the death appears to be from natural causes and there was no evidence of foul play. The identity of the individual could not be released as of 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 9, since the police department hadn’t received confirmation that next of kin has been notified. 


Cloverdale police responded to a report of a body found at a park near Washington School on Sept. 4.
The call reporting the body came in to the Cloverdale Police Department at approximately 1:04 p.m., Cloverdale Police Chief Jason Ferguson said.
The case is still under investigation. Ferguson said that foul play is not suspected, and that the department is waiting for autopsy results to confirm both the person’s identity and the cause of death.
