Belle LaVerne Hodgers – Dedicated baseball fan

Belle LaVerne Hodgers passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept.
27, 2006. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Hodgers and
they were married for 40 years. She was the loving mother of Bill
Loveland of Santa Rosa, Beverly Loveland and Tim of Oregon, Larry
and Carol Loveland of Rohnert Park, Jeff and Donna Hodgers of
Windsor. She was the loving step mother of Harry and Suzanne
Hodgers of Colorado and Barbara Brooks of Walnut Creek; the
cherished grandmother of Denise (Mark), Cathy (Mitch), Dennis
(Laura), Alex, Steven, Scott (Jasmine), Stacy (Marcellus), Sierra
(Robbie), Michelle, Leah, Mark (Carmyn), Walter (Marjo), Marie,
Nancy (Robert), Jeff, Jason, Eric, and the great grandmother of 20.
She was sister to the late Evan Jeffreys of Santa Rosa. Belle had
lived in Healdsburg for more than 50 years, working at Montgomery
Ward and then as a bookkeeper at Garretts Hardware. She was an
active participant in helping to improve her community through her
membership with the Eastern Star and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She absolutely loved baseball and faithfully followed both the A’s
and the Giants. She would watch the game wearing the appropriate
A’s or Giants hat. She loved to get the family all together for a
summer BBQ, and Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners where she would
set a huge table with all the finest fixings. She was greatly loved
and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
