Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week. Recipients will receive a free small soda, small bag of chips and sandwich from Pohley’s Market.
Partida a key man for baseball squad
Senior shortstop Toli Partida has been rock solid in the middle infield since winning a starting job with the Jaguars last year and is taking on an even bigger role this season. Possessing great range and a strong arm, the senior veteran has been heating up on offense as well, ripping one hit in two trips in a game against Maria Carrillo on April 5.
Pellman stepping up for varsity softballers
Senior outfielder Maddie Pellman is making the most of her fourth varsity softball campaign for the Lady Jaguars, contributing great production and leadership. The gifted veteran has been flawless in the outfield through the first month of the season, using a strong arm and steady glove to prevent opponents from taking an extra base. Pellman has also been lethal on offense, where she’s among the team leaders in batting average (.417), RBIs (8) and stolen bases (5).
