Johnson an emerging talent for cross country team
Freshman Nataleigh Johnson has been a pleasant surprise for the WHS cross country team during an abbreviated North Bay League season, emerging among the top varsity runners on the team. Johnson turned in one of her best efforts of the fall campaign in a meet with Casa Grande at Schollenberger Park in Petaluma on Nov. 1, finishing eighth overall in a fast 20:57.Â
Kulas turns up defensive heat
Senior football linebacker/receiver Thomas Kulas enjoyed his best game of the season at exactly the right time on Friday, turning in an outstanding defensive effort in the league finale at Ukiah. Kulas was all over the field, recording a team-high 11 tackles and five assists to help the Jaguars to a 29-0 win over the Wildcats.
