Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week.
Hage a productive veteran for Lady Jags
Junior pitcher Sydney Hage has been nothing short of sensational for the WHS varsity softball team this season, making big contributions in all facets of the game. A hard-throwing right-hander that is equally effective starting or in relief, Hage has been rock solid. She’s been even better with a bat in her hands, most recently leading all hitters in an 8-6 win over Terra Linda, ripping three hits in four trips and an RBI.
Chung poised for monster track campaign
Junior distance specialist Lucas Chung will be one to watch as the track season unfolds this spring, taking aim at historic heights. Chung is already in mid-season form in the early stages of the campaign, turning in a huge performance at Friday’s Twilight Relays in Santa Rosa. In the fastest NBL 1,600 meter time of the young season to date, Chung was the first across the finish line in a blistering time of 4:25.95.
