Corday completes great track campaign
Junior Vince Corday wrapped up a breakout track and field season on Saturday at the Meet of Champions at historic Edwards Stadium in Berkeley, representing the Jaguars in two events. Corday captured 18th place overall in the Triple Jump with a leap of 39’ 9” and added a 22nd place finish in the 800 Meters in 2:04.12.
Scott garners league honors for WHS softballers
Junior pitcher/first-baseman Kayla Scott was rewarded following a tremendous spring campaign this month, garnering first-team all-league honors in voting by league coaches. The third-year veteran batted a team-best .491 with 27 hits and 12 runs batted in, while compiling a record of 3-3 with a 3.42 earned run average on the mound.
