Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week
Ruybalid a key player for basketballers
Junior guard Jaden Ruybalid is enjoying a breakout campaign for the varsity basketball team, making big contributions on both ends of the court. A lock-down defender, Ruybalid was at his best in recent NBL outings against Analy and Cardinal Newman, making his presence felt with outstanding all-around play. The second-year junior had arguably his best game in the Jan. 8 clash with the Tigers, chipping in 11 points on offense while playing great defensively.
Romero and emerging talent for Lady Jags
Junior post-player Sophia Romero is in the midst of a strong hoops season for the Lady Jaguars, emerging as one of the top offensive threats on the team. Romero broke into the starting line-up last week and made an immediate contribution, combining for 15 points in games against Cardinal Newman and Piedmont.
