Soltanizadeh off to good start for baseballers
Senior baseball veteran Cyrus Soltanizadeh has set the tone for a great season ahead, turning in a standout effort in the opener against Montgomery on Saturday. Soltanizadeh logged a great all-around game, lacing an RBI double and pitching an inning of relief to help lead the Jags to a 3-2 win over the visiting Vikings.
Chavez wraps up stellar wrestling seasonÂ
Windsor High School senior wrestler Dulce Chavez put the final touches on a great winter campaign with a trip to the elite CIF State Championships in Bakersfield on Feb. 21-23. A week after earning a third-place medal at the North Coast Section tourney, Chavez joined three teammates in competing at the prestigious state meet. Â
