Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week. Recipients will receive a free small soda, small bag of chips and sandwich from Pohley’s Market.
Kane wraps up strong hardball campaign
Junior baseballer Tanner Kane completed a standout season for the varsity Jaguars, contributing to the team in all phases. Among the team’s top hitters with a solid .261 batting average, Kane was equally comfortable toeing the slab as an effective relief pitcher, leading the Jags with a pair of saves.
Thomas finishes solid softball season
Senior infielder Rebecca Thomas finished up a distinguished softball career for the Lady Jaguars this month as one of the top veterans on a young team. A steady second baseman, Thomas led the team with 49 assists. She finished the season on an upswing with the bat, ripping one hit in three trips while driving in two runs in her final game against Ukiah.
