Vega in midst of standout football campaign
Senior running back/safety Octavio Vega is doing it all for the varsity football team this season, making huge contributions on both sides of the ball. Vega turned in arguably his best overall performance of the season to date in the Jags’ Sept. 7 visit to Santa Rosa, leading the ground game with 75 rushing yards while anchoring the defense with 11 tackles and two assists.
Chung a talented freshman on cross country team
Freshman Lilja Chung has been everything the cross country team hoped she would be and more this season, quickly establishing herself among the top varsity runners on the squad. Chung made a big splash in her fall debut at the recent Rancho Cotate Invitational meet, leading her teammates with a fourth-place overall finish in covering the 2.72-mile course in a sizzling 17:34.
