Estrela a key player for football team
Junior all-purpose back/safety Landan Estrela is enjoying a break-out football season for the Jaguars, making huge contributions on offense and defense. The versatile back was at his best in a great effort against Ukiah on Friday, hauling in four pass receptions for 49 yards while also cashing in on a short rushing touchdown. He also chipped in four solo tackles on defense.
O’Mara a leader for Running Jags
Veteran cross country standout Erin O’Mara has been a leader on and off the course for the varsity girls cross country team this year, setting an example for a young squad. O’Mara turned in another in a string of great efforts in a league dual meet against Elsie Allen on Oct. 16, capturing second place overall on the hilly Foothill Park 3.1-mile course in a fast 24:23.     Â
