Smith an emerging cross country star
Freshman Dustin Smith is in the midst of a breakout fall campaign for the Windsor High School cross country team, emerging among the top runners on a strong team. Smith continued to shine at the recent Westmoor Invitational meet, taking an early lead and never looking back to capture first place in the 2.4-mile race in a fast 13:18.
Stadum cards low scores in league golf
Sophomore Alana Stadum has been a pleasant surprise for the Windsor golf team this season, stepping up to become a team leader through the first half of the campaign. Stadum played some of her best golf to date in an Oct. 4 match with Montgomery, firing a team best 47 at the par 36 Bennett Valley Golf Club to lead the Jaguars to a 269-273 win. Â
