Anthony Michael “Ants” Amante-Perez passed away peacefully at
his Santa Rosa home at the age of 47. He was the dearly beloved
husband of Melodie Perez; cherished son of Salvina Gonsales, Nick
Perez and James Amante; beloved father of Justina, Anthony, Charles
and James Amante, Sha-Sheem Perez, Phyllis, Carlos, Priscilla and
Erica Hoaglin; adored grandfather of Layloni and Roberto
Amante-Lopez, Ila, Melodie, Natashia, Jesse, Mark, Dahnia, Junior,
Shawn, Allen, Victor, Keisha, Josiah and Sharnelle; dear brother of
Nick, Robert, Angelo, Randell, Jeanette, Annette, Stacy and the
late Daniel and Zackery Perez. He is also survived by numerous
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ants was a member of the Dry
Creek Wappo Indian Tribe. He loved to play the guitar and sing and
play pool with family and friends at Moondogs. He was a native of
Santa Rosa. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31,
2002 at Daniels Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa, followed by
burial at the Dry Creek Rancheria.
