Ann was born in New York to Joyce and Anker. She was sister to
John, Carl and Alfred. She leaves behind he husband, Peter Pepper,
son, Francis Scarpulla, grandchildren Evangeline, Ludovico and
Verona Scarpulla, daughter-in-law Romyn Carpulla, stepson Jon-Paul
Pepper, numerous friends and family, and Charlie. A resident of
Sebastopol for the last four years, Ann spent many years living in
San Jose and Atherton, and worked as a commercial real estate
broker for 20 years. She served on the board of the Visiting Nurses
Association and the Youth Science Institute, and volunteered her
services to the San Jose Repertory Theatre and the Terwilliger
Nature Center.
