Basketball season is officially over for the Lady Tigers, who saw a solid winter campaign come to a sudden end in the first round of the North Coast Section Division 3 playoffs.
Analy (13-15) was the #14 seed in the 15-team NCS Tournament, saddled with the tough task of a four-hour bus ride to take on #3 ranked Eureka in the playoff opener on Feb. 20.Â
The result was not a surprise, as the home-standing Loggers used a fast start and a strong defensive effort to build a big early lead before coasting to a 67-45 win.
By any measure the 2017-18 campaign was a good one for the Lady Tigers in the final season before league realignment, logging a 7-5 record to finish in fourth place overall to land a spot in the SCL Tournament.Â
Although the team will graduate senior multi-year standouts such as Alexis Dibene, Claire Brown, Julie Ambrose Lauren Lehmann, Lauren Murnin and Danny Acosta, head coach Raquel Gomes hopes to return key juniors Isabel Housman, Sierra Atkins, Aleah Armstrong, Minh Tam Le and Lucia Jameau, and sophomores Bre Lawrence, Leah Lawrence, Bailey Alberigi and Luna Planty. Â
