The Analy and El Molino girls will play out the string in their respective Sonoma County League basketball schedules this week, hoping to close out on a strong note.
Both varsity teams are coming off difficult stretches in SCL play, as the Lady Tigers dropped a pair of tough decisions to Sonoma Valley (38-33) and Petaluma (47-43).
Pacing the attack against the Dragons were Alexis Dibene (10 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals), Isabel Housman (8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal) and Aleah Armstrong (6 points, 12 boards).
Housman (9 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, 3 steals) led the way versus the Trojans, while other top contributors were Dibene (8 points, 2 rebounds, 5 steals) and Armstrong (7 points, 7 rebounds).  
Analy (12-12, 6-4) will attempt to lock down fourth place in final SCL home and away dates with Piner (Feb. 6, after press time) and Healdsburg (Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m.). The SCL tournament takes place next week (times and location TBD), followed by a possible spot in the NCS Division 3 tournament the subsequent week.
Lions’ tough luck  
Meanwhile, the Lions (4-18, 1-9) didn’t fare much better, playing well in close losses to Piner (47-32) and Sonoma Valley (39-38).
Hailey Sheridan (12 points) and Hailee Walker (9 points) led the offense against the Prospectors, while Walker (12 points) and Sheridan (8 points) and Grace Anderson (8 points) were the top scorers against the Dragons.
El Mo close it out with home and away dates against Healdsburg (Feb. 6) and Elsie Allen (Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m.).
