Wilson Winery in Healdsburg will sponsor its
fourth annual scholarship benefit wine tasting March 26 at the
winery, located at 1960 Dry Creek Rd. The benefit will take place
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and revenues from all tasting room wine
sales will go to the Children of Vineyard Workers
Scholarship Fund
, set up by the winery. This year a
Mexican Fiesta with Mexican food and live music will be feature.
The event is free. The scholarship fund is managed by the Community
Foundation Sonoma County and the goal this year is to raise enough
money to meet the demand of all deserving applicants to support the
continued education of the children of Sonoma County’s vineyard
workers. Last year the winery raised $10,000 for the fund. Anyone
unable to attend the fundraiser can send tax-deductible donations
to Children of Vineyard Workers Scholarship Fund, 250 D St., Suite
205, Santa Rosa, CA 9504-4773.
