The Sebastopol Center for the Arts is sponsoring a juried
writing contest entitled “Chip Off The Old Block,” which invites
local authors to tell their stories about heritage, be they
fragmented, serious, coincidental, silly, bizarre or fantastical.
The contest juror is Chip Wendt, a Healdsburg author and owner of
Running Wolf Press. The entry deadline is Friday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m.
The contest is open to youth, teens and adults, who may submit up
to three entries per contestant. The fee is $5 for members of the
Center for the Arts, $6 for non-members and $2 for youth entries
age 18 and under. Winners will read their material at a March 26
reception and work will be displayed in the center gallery from
March 18 to April 25. For more information, call 829-4797, or visit
