Three-decade-old Healdsburg consignment shop Favorites is facing some changes, as well — but fortunately for local fans and bargain-clothing shoppers, its owners haven’t given up yet. Instead, Favorites moved last month from their spot in the CVS shopping center to a smaller space not too far south on Center Street.

The Shop Local Healdsburg blog and Instagram account reports that Favorites is “now OPEN at their new location that’s even closer to the Plaza” at 239 Center St., right between El Sombrero and Barndiva.

More from Shop Local:

Owner Roe Borunda, shared her excitement for their new space: where the walls were once configured with built-in-shelves and desks, have now been salvaged and repurposed as shelves for accessories and hanging space for clothing.

“We painted and added fitting rooms in the back. We recycled the desks to make it into our cash wrap, and for the additional shelves we wanted to use,” says Roe, a renovation that’s on brand for this consignment shop that’s been going strong since 1990 ✨🔄

Roe has taken the helm in managing @favoritesconsignment from her mother-in-law Louise Gentry for several years. “I had always loved Louise’s store and enjoyed shopping consignment and thrift long before her son came into my life. So I told her that I would love to keep this business going for another 25+ years. It has been such a staple to the Healdsburg community, and I couldn’t just let it go away.”
