Police cars behind Healdsburg station
POLICE FLEET Vehicles of the Healdsburg Police Department parked behind their headquarters at 238 Center Street.

Monday, May 22

5:33am. Stolen Vehicle on March Ave. RP (Reporting Party) called to say that his vehicle was stolen. He states that he parked the vehicle yesterday afternoon, and when he woke up to go to work this morning the vehicle was gone. RP does have one key, but there is also a key in the vehicle, which was locked at the time it was taken. Officers checked Flock license plate reading cameras, and the vehicle was seen leaving town around 3:58 in the morning. 

7:59am. Drug Influence at Purity Chemical on North St. RP saw an adult male with an air rifle slung over his shoulder. Officers made contact with a 22-year-old male, who was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. The air rifle was taken for safe keeping. 

8:37am. Unwanted Subject at Dry Creek Inn on Dry Creek Rd. RP states that there is an adult male “tweaking out” and talking to himself on property grounds. He is dressed in black, with blonde hair and a beard. RP would like officers to ask the subject to move along. Officers responded, subject gone on arrival. 

10:48am. Accident at Safeway on Vine St. Vehicle ran into a building; male occupant climbed out of the vehicle. Officers responded; caller transferred to inter-agency Redcom and transported to Healdsburg hospital by ambulance. 

2:22pm. Disturbance at Safeway. An adult male was yelling at patrons in the store. When asked to leave by the manager, subject became more verbally aggressive. Last seen wearing brown pants, blue shirt, hat and carrying a brown jacket. Subject is currently sitting outside of the store. Officers responded; subject was not willing to give officers any identifying information; stated that he only wanted food. He was provided with a bus pass. 

7:05pm. Drug Influence at Safeway. RP calling to say there are two customers in the store who always steal. It was unclear if they were currently stealing. RP stated the male subject went outside and possibly had a backpack full of things (unsure of the amount of items he took). RP stated the female was checking out but may also have stolen goods. Officers responded, both subjects were trespassed from the property. The male, 51 years of age, was arrested, brought to the PD and then transported to county jail for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

9:20pm. Counterfeit Bills at Safeway. RP calling to report that the subject from the above case was back in the store. Subject has been using counterfeit bills in the store. Officers responded and contacted the subject. No contraband was found. 

Tuesday, May 23

9:16am. Petty Theft at Healdsburg Lumber Company on Healdsburg Ave. RP has a subject on video shoplifting on two different occasions. One occurred yesterday, amount of $250. The other occurred May 1 for the same amount. Suspect is a man in his 50s with white goatee, glasses, a baseball hat. RP willing to press charges. 

3:29pm. Hit and Run Accident at Safeway. At 11:30am, the RP witnessed someone hit another car with their vehicle. She approached the suspect and told him she saw what he did, but he didn’t think it was an issue. Suspect described as a male in his 60s, 5′ 11″, medium build. Damage unknown 

Wednesday, May 24

4:48am. Reckless driver on Healdsburg Ave. at Front St. RP calling to report small pickup drove in the wrong direction, going south on Healdsburg Ave. before it turns into Old Redwood Highway. Unknown color of vehicle, unknown plate. Officers advised. 

4pm. Public Intoxication on University St. Drunk male loitering in front of RP’s house for about an hour. Beard, olive green shirt and sweater over his shoulder. Subject was seen stumbling while walking. Officers made contact with the male, who identified himself but was without identification. He was going to walk home on Maxwell. 

7:50pm. Probation Violation on Canyon Run. RP stated an unwanted individual jumped the fence and was in the backyard, then moved to the front yard during the call. RP feels he is volatile. Described as a young male with backpack, black tank, gray pants, black socks. RP believes he has a knife on his person. Upon contact, a 22-year-old man was arrested and transported directly to county jail for probable cause of probation violation. 

10:12pm. Disturbance on Hummingbird Ct. RP stated she is in the middle of a domestic situation. She, being the 3rd party, advised the male and female are in a verbal altercation. RP was unable to provide location or descriptions. Officers responded, contacted residences in the area that stated negative disturbance heard. After multiple attempts to get a better location, units responded to Badger Park and contacted suspects, all parties separated. 

Thursday, May 25

1:30am. Possession of Stolen Property at Redwood Hwy./Dry Creek Rd. Flock hit on a trailer reported stolen. Officers located the trailer on the on-ramp, felony stop conducted. Two females, 36 years old and 34 years old, were cited and released for selling and possession of methamphetamine. A 32-year-old male was arrested and transported to county jail for receiving a stolen vehicle, identity theft and similar drug charges. 

7:54pm. Vandalism to vehicle on Pheasant Dr. RP reporting that she thinks her car was vandalized. Officer responded, not as reported. 

Friday, May 26

6:34am. Accident with property damage only at Jerry’s Valero on Dry Creek Rd. RP stated a minor collision occurred. No injuries, no airbags, no children. Drivers were advised to exchange all information. 

1:34pm. Petty Theft on Matheson St. RP said at 12:15pm today, a subject stole a hammer, a piece to a gate and a towel from her porch. She has the subject on camera. RP does not want prosecution, just wants the piece to her gate back. (The items were later returned.)

2:44pm. Warrant Service at McDonald’s, Healdsburg Ave. A 58-year-old male was cited for a Marin County warrant of trespassing and unlawful lodging (“squatting”). 

3:03pm. Unlicensed Driver at Quail And Condor, Healdsburg Ave. Citation issued.

4:11pm. Accident at Healdsburg Ave./Bailache Ave. White Toyota Tacoma vs. silver Honda Accord. No injury, no children, no airbags. RP requesting an officer for a report. Officer responded, report taken. 

Saturday, May 27

5:28am. Assault with a Deadly Weapon at Badger Park on Heron Dr. RP calling to report that a man known to her slammed into her and her daughter’s vehicle and then drove away. RP then stated that the suspect was on the other side of Badger Park and was going to “bang” into her daughter’s car again. Officers responded, report taken and Be On the Lookout (BOL) issued for domestic violence and firearm assault.

12:18pm. Warrant Service at L&M Motel, Healdsburg Ave. Officer initiated activity. A Healdsburg police officer advised he was out with a subject walking in the middle of the roadway impeding traffic. The subject, a 51-year-old male, was found to have an active “do not cite” warrant, he was arrested and transported to county jail. Active warrant for driving under the influence, driving with a BAC of at least 0.08%, driving with a suspended license and violation of probation. 

6:06pm. Petty Theft at Healdsburg High School on Prince Ave. RP stated his bike tires and seat were just stolen. RP was at the school helping his father in a classroom, and he left briefly and when he returned, his tires were gone. He noticed a U-Haul truck with an Arizona plate in the area and believes it could have been responsible. Officers contacted the RP, who gave a further description of the U-Haul: black graffiti on the left side of the box truck, older model, possibly privately owned and not being rented, has cats inside and possibly a male and female living inside. $300 total loss of items taken. 

7:50pm. Hit and Run Accident at Journeyman Meat Co. on Center St. RP believes that his ex-fiancée hit two vehicles during the tree light ceremony on Dec. 3, 2022. Suspect vehicle is a gray Nissan Titan with front end damage, Arizona plates. RP just would like this logged at this time. 

7:52pm. Vandalism to Vehicle occurred at Healdsburg City Hall on Grove St. RP reporting someone shot a nail into his tire, would like it logged for information. Nothing further at this time. 

Sunday, May 28

11:57am. Mail Tampering on Dry Creek Rd. RP just went to her mailbox, shared with 10 other residents, and the box was pried open and all mail was gone. RP was transferred to Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

12:13pm. Hit and Run Accident occurred at CVS Pharmacy on Center St. Last night between 12:15-1:54am, RP’s car was hit while parked in the CVS parking lot. No suspect vehicle description available. RP will be home until 3:30pm today. Officer Delatorre responded and contacted the RP at his home, report taken.

6:27pm. Drunk Driver at Chevron South, Healdsburg Ave. A 27 year old was arrested, pre-booked at the PD and transported to County Jail (CJ) for driving under the influence and driving with a BAC of at least 0.08%. 

9:32pm. Disturbance at Big John’s Market on Healdsburg Ave. 911 caller advising of a physical fight in the Big John’s parking lot. RP advised there were 10-15 people and at least four of the individuals were fighting. Possibly juveniles, no further description and RP is no longer on scene. Officers responded, individuals were play wrestling. 

10:58pm. Drunk Driver at Plaza St./Healdsburg Ave. Vehicle was stopped for suspected DUI. A 45-year-old male was arrested, prebooked at the PD and transported to County Jail for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.11:03pm. Reckless drivers on First St. Multiple callers reported multiple speeding vehicles: one truck, an SUV and a Camaro. Vehicles driving recklessly throughout the area. An officer responded to the area and contacted the initial RP.
