Cloverdale Ale Company will host a benefit this Sunday, for Martha Taylor, a beloved employee who is struggling with uterine cancer.
According to the organizers of the event, Taylor worked as long as she could after she was diagnosed, but recently has been unable to work while she undergoes treatment.
Taylor’s friend Launa L. Chavez said, in an email, that “She is not only a server to the customers, she is a friend. She goes far beyond what  is expected as a server, as a co-worker and as a friend.”
Sunday’s benefit (Feb. 12) is from 2 to 5 p.m. and includes barbecue chicken, a hamburger bar, caesar salad, pasta salad and a no-host bar. The cost is $15 per person and $12 from each ticket will go toward Taylor’s needs.
Also, on Tuesday, Feb. 14, during regular pub hours, $2 from each glass of wine or beer purchase will be donated to Taylor by the pub.
In order to make sure there is enough food and space, RSVPs are requested by calling the brewpub at 894-9610. The Sunday event is first-come, first-served.
