Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards will host a new harvest event on
Saturday, Sept. 13 that will benefit ANOVA Education and Behavior
Consultation, a Santa Rosa-based non-profit organization that
provides services to disabled and disadvantaged children throughout
Northern California. The event, “La Vendange,” will feature a full
day of harvest-related activities, including a grape stomp contest,
sheep dog trials, a wine-tasting competition, round robin croquet
tournament and horse-drawn trolley tours of the Windsor winery.
Five top Sonoma County chefs will create a harvest barbecue. The
event gets its name from the term the French use to describe a
grape harvest, La Vendange. The event gets under way at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets to the event are limited and sell for $125 per person, or
$1,000 for a table of 10. To purchase tickets, call Sandy Rush at
