Kevin Starr to speak for Book Fair
California historian Kevin Starr will speak at the annual
“Coffee Grounds” fund-raiser sponsored by the Sonoma County
Literary Arts Guild on June 26 at the home of Jane and Jack
Stuppin. Starr will discuss the topic, “Sonoma County and the Book:
A Perfect Match.” Starr is the former California state librarian
and is a professor of history at USC. He has written extensively
about California history. Proceeds from the event will benefit the
Sonoma County Book Fair, held each September, which is a
celebration of the litearary arts that brings acclaimed authors to
Sonoma County. Tickets for the dinner event, including wine and
hors d’oeuvres, are $100 per person. For ticket reservations, call

Air Show slated for August
The Pacific Coast Air Museum’s 15th annual air show is slated
for Aug. 21 & 22 at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport
in Santa Rosa. There will be aerobatic pilots in addition to a
large contingent of warbirds flying in formation and a possible
visit by a vintage DC-3. The 2004 Wings Over Wine Country event
