Film on mental illness at Roxy
The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Sonoma County
will sponsor a film, “People Say I’m Crazy” to spread the word
about resources available in the community for the mentally ill.
The film will be screened on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. at the
Roxy on the Square in Santa Rosa. The award-winning film was
produced by artist John Cadigan and chronicles his own battle with
schizophrenia. NAMI Sonoma County is a non-profit organization that
provides support, eductation and advocacy on mental illness. For

Dying to Celebrate correction
A story we ran on this page last week included information about
ticket prices for a benefit for Final Passages, a group that
assists families with home funerals. “Dying to Celebrate” will be
held at the Sebastopol Masonic Temple on Friday, March 11 starting
at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. They are
available at Copperfield’s Books, Slice of Life and Crystal People
in Sebastopol. The event will include segments from a PBS
Documentary, “A Family Undertaking,” and music by the Threshold
