Preventing Elder Abuse
The Sonoma County Elder Abuse Prevention Council is sponsoring a
free presentation on “Preventing Financial Fraud & Exploitation
in Our Community” on Friday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Adult and
Aging Conference Center, 2160 North Point Parkway in Santa Rosa.
Jenefer Duane of the non-profit Elder Financial Protection Network
will speak about financial abuse and community outreach plans to
address issues of financial abuse in Sonoma County. For more

A day at the spa for a good cause
The Osmosis Enzyme Bath Spa in Freestone will participate in the
Spa Day SF fund-raiser on Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
On that day, 20 percent of the day’s services and gift certificate
revenues will be donated to Project Open Hand and Aid for AIDS,
Northern California programs that provide direct financial
assistance to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS.
