The theme of the monthly “First Weekend in Alexander Valley”

on Oct. 4 & 5 will be “Library Reserves,” with participating
wineries digging into their libraries to present special treasures
to visitors. Participating wineries include Seghesio, Geyser Peak,
White Oak, Hanna, Clos Du Bois and Trentadue. Hours are from 11

The Wine Shop in Healdsburg (under the clocktower across
from the Plaza)
will feature two Harvest Fair kick-off events on Friday, Oct. 3.
Wine country author Jack Smith will sign his new novel, “The Wine
Critic’s Choice” from 4-6 p.m. and later that night, from 6-8 p.m.
Debbie Martin of Martin Family Vineyards will pour the family’s
wines.
