William “Bill” Dennis Senteney, 85, of Cloverdale, passed away Christmas Eve 2017 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Bill was born in Kelseyville, California to Douglas Lester Senteney and Ruth Viola Senteney on August 22, 1932 and was the youngest of four sisters and two brothers.
In 1951 he graduated from Lassen High School in Susanville, CA. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War and Army Reserves, Bill worked in the Lassen National Forest as a ranger and firefighter before relocating to the San Francisco area where he moved furniture for twenty-eight years. He then moved to Healdsburg where he co-owned Country Daisy Florist before retiring to Cloverdale where he was a Member of American Legion Post 293 for 11 years.
Bill was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he is dearly loved and missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ. Bill was always there to lend a hand serving the Lord by serving others and he did his best to make others laugh regardless of his struggles.
Bill is survived by his granddaughter Theresa (Cory) Tetreault-Mathis, Pahrump, NV and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1402 University Street, Healdsburg at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 11th.
