Rebecca E. (Becky) Elder, 53, died on March 2, 2005 after a
struggle with brain cancer. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL and
lived in Sebastopol for 40 years. Becky was wife to Gary L. Elder
for 33 years and mother to Nathan and Troy Elder. She graduated
from Analy High School and Santa Rosa Junior College and worked at
OCLI for 23 years. She lived life to the fullest, had many
interests and was highly involved with her family. She was an
excellent equestrian and belonged to Sebastopol Wranglers. Becky
and Gary worked together to build her horse barn. She and Troy
built a large skateboard ramp and she took up snow skiing with her
sons. She enrolled in culinary courses at SRJC with Troy and earned
an accounting certificate and went into business with Nathan to run
Borolos Gourmet Pizza. Becky was preceded in death by her son Troy.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, her son Nathan and his wife,
Susan, her parents Jack and Jeanne Williams, her siblings Carolyn
Rausch and her husband, Ron, Robert Williams and his wife
Elizabeth, her nephews David and Jason Waldow, Matthew and Jospeh
Williams and a large extended family including her best friend Lynn
Morton-Weil and daughter Kate. Her family asks a donations be made
to Sutter VNA Hospice. No formal services will be held.
