Chris V. Conley passed away from cancer at home on Sunday, March
27, 2005 at the age of 55. He was the dearly beloved father of Dana
Ann Conley and Chase Christopher Conley of Geyserville; beloved son
of Vrain Conley and his wife Anna of Cloverdale; loving brother of
Dale Conley and wife Jane of Healdsburg and dear step-brother of
Pamela Martinelli and husband Lee of Fulton and Michael Medley and
wife Moreen of Geyserville; nephew of Richard Conley and wife Dora
of Diamond Springs; adored uncle of Casey Conley and wife Jenee of
Healdsburg, Cary Greaves and husband Dan of Santa Rosa, Maddy
Martinelli of Fulton, and Jennifer Medley; great uncle of Cole
Conley; also survived by his loving friend and former wife Sharon
Conley, and his devoted fiancee Janis Laurain, her daughter
Jennifer and grandson Zachary North. Born in Berkeley, he moved to
Sonoma County as a small child. He served in the National Guard
from 1971 to 1977. He worked as a welding contractor for over 25
years to provide his children with everything they could ever want.
An outdoors man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, diving and cooking.
But most of all, he loved spending time with his children who meant
more to him than anything in the world. They will try to live their
lives the way their father did – with a strong mind and a loving
heart. Chris will be remembered by the many people whose lives he
touched with his friendship. Chris will be missed, but the memory
of his amazing strength, courage, and love will live on. His family
and friends will smile when they think of him and will carry him
forever in their hearts. A Memorial Service celebrating his life
will be held at a later date. Private inurnment. If desired,
memorial contributions to benefit his children’s education may be
