Rhoda Belle “Marie” Cameron Mallon passed into the arms of her
loving savior on Monday, December 13, 2004, after a long illness.
Marie, known to herself as Mariel Marie Rose and “Autumn Rain,” was
born in Rochester, Minnesota on October 5, 1929. She was the wife
of Mike Mallon, the father of her six children. While raising her
family Marie worked as a radiological technician in Washington and
in Santa Rosa. She also earned as master’s degree in art and a
bachelor’s degree in literature. As an artist she created a wealth
of paintings. She is survived by her brothers David F. Cameron and
Peter Cameron; her children Michael Mallon, Suzanne Snider, Colleen
O’Mallon, Teresa O’Mallon, Annie O’Mallon and Mary Mallon; also
survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Mass
in Marie’s honor will be held at St. John Catholic Church in
Healdsburg on Friday, January 14 at 10 a.m. A graveside service
will be held on Monday, January 17, at 2 p.m. at the Catholic
Calvary Cemetery on Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa. Afterwards,
her friends and family are invited to a wake at the home of Teresa
O’Mallon and Monte Hansen. Donations to the homeless, in lieu of
flowers, would be lovingly appreciated.
