Stevia Mathis, 91, of Sebastopol, died on Jan. 9.

She was the wife of the late Lt. Col. Blaine Mathis, mother of
Betty Furr-Alvarado and her husband Eduardo of Sebastopol, Stephen
Mathis and his wife, Susan of Mojave and Anne Hesse and her husband
Bob of Centennial, CO, grandmother of Edward and Marsha Beal of
Corvallis, OR, Russell and Deborah Beal of Pilot Hill, Rob and
Carol Murdock of Portland, OR, David and Jennifer Murdock of
Broomfield, CO and Donald, Alison and Amanda Mathis all of Mojave
and great grandmother of six. Stevia enjoyed spending time with her
family and was very proud of being a member of Queen Esther Chapter
202 Order of the Eastern Star at Monett, Missouri for more than 50
years. She was also a member of the West Santa Rosa Baptist Church
for over 45 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
your favorite charity.
