Jere Leroy Holbrook- Loved to fly

Jere Leroy Holbrook, 72, passed away peacefully with his family
by his side on January 6, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.
Jere was born in Healdsburg to Dr. Hollis and Marie (Clayton)
Holbrook. He is survived by his adoring wife Emily (Diaz); his
daughters Diana Poirier of San Diego and Holly Holbrook of Santa
Barbara; his grandchildren Joel and Bethany Poirier; his
sister-in-law Maria Garcia; also survived by many nieces and
nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and
great-great-nephews. Jere will be remembered for his wonderful
sense of humor and his warm, generous and loving nature. He loved
flying and was a past president of the Schellville Antique
Escadrille flying club. He was a gifted artist who often donated
his talents to others. Most of all he loved being with family. A
memorial service will be held on January 29 at noon at the Sonoma
Valley Airport (23980 Arnold Drive, Sonoma). In lieu of flowers
