Mary Ann Quarnstrom, 84, passed away in Cloverdale on Tuesday,
January 25, 2005, following a lengthy illness. She is survived by
her husband of 59 years, Erik Quarnstrom; her daughter Rebecka
(husband Don and children Kristina and James) Hagerty of Davis; her
son Dan (wife Sarah and child Matthew) Quarnstrom of Los Angeles;
also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including the
families of Judy and Teresa McAuley and Barbara Fend of Washington,
Don and Linda Sharpes of Arizona, and Betty and Chauncey Dalton of
California. Mary was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine McAuley
of Terrace Heights, Washington. She graduated from Yakima Junior
College, and later moved to Seattle where she worked at Boeing
Aircraft. There Mary and Erik met and married in 1945. After moving
to Cloverdale in 1954, Mary Ann became an active member of the St.
Peter’s Altar Society, president of the Cloverdale Garden Club and
longtime participant in the Cloverdale Citrus Fair. As a sales
representative for the Emporium in Santa Rosa for 17 years, she had
many friends and acquaintances in Santa Rosa, Healdsburg and
Cloverdale. Services were held at St. Peter’s Church in Cloverdale
on Saturday, January 29. Donations in May’s memory may be made to
