Jim Wayne Ledford – Viet Nam veteran

Jim Wayne Ledford, 61, passed away peacefully at home on June
22, 2004 accompanied by his loved ones. Jim was born on September
14, 1942 in Healdsburg. He was a veteran of Viet Nam. He lived in
Virginia for 35 years and was most recently a resident of Elk
Grove. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Elsie Rea Ledford,
uncle Albert Bacchini, and uncle Ray Brackett. He is survived by
his beloved wife of 39 years Elizabeth Ledford, daughter Lisa
Ledford, son Wayne Ledford, daughter-in-law Michele Ledford,
grandsons Kevin and Owen Ledford, aunts Elayne Brackett and Della
Bacchini, cousins Raelene and Ron Standifer, cousin Virginia
Biocca, half-sister Sharon Ledford, many cousins, nieces, nephews,
sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends. A funeral mass was
held on Friday, June 25 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in
Healdsburg. Interment was held at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to Sutter
Hospice, 2800 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95815, or the American
Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
