Stella Santarini, 80, passed away in Santa Rosa on December 11,
2003. She is the dearly beloved wife of the late Ray Santarini.
Stella was born to the late Luca and Maria Mancini on April 12,
1923 in Santa Rosa and raised in the Olivet District on a 20-acre
vineyard. She is survived by her loving sister Corina Ridolfi of
Santa Rosa and brother Frank Mancini and his wife Caren of Santa
Rosa. She is the dear sister-in-law of Romie Santarini and his wife
Inger of Fortuna and Rosemarie Holewinski and her husband Peter of
Salinas; dear niece of Louise Cerri of Santa Rosa. She is also
survived by her loving nephew Albert Azevedo of Healdsburg, niece
Evelyn Parrish and her husband Bill of Windsor, nephew Angelo
Guisti of Forestville, godson Kurt Guisti of Forestville, godson
Dennis Parrish of Windsor and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Stella attended local schools including Santa Rosa High School and
Luther Burbank College of Commerce. She was a member of Trenton
Circle #176 Druids and the VFW Auxiliary #7816 in Novato. She
worked for many years until her retirement as secretary to the
warden at San Quentin State Prison. Friends are invited to meet at
the Daniels Chapel of the Roses (1225 Sonoma Avenue in Santa Rosa)
on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 9:15 a.m., thence to St. Rose
Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Private entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa.
Evening Vigil Rites were held on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 in
Santa Rosa. A visitation was held on Monday, December 15, 2003 and
on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the mortuary. If desired,
donations in Stella’s memory may be made to the charity of your
choice. Stella’s family would like to thank the staff of Creekside
Convalescent Hospital for the wonderful care given to her for the
past seven months.
