Albert P. Spencer, 85, of Sebastopol, died on May 23. Born in
Missouri, he was raised and educated in Oklahoma and moved to
Sonoma County in 1954. He enjoyed gardening and spending time
outdoors. Albert was a heavy equipment operator in Sonoma County
for many years. He helped build the Lake Sonoma dam and many
highways throughout Sonoma County. Albert is survived by his wife
of 49 years, Betty Spencer, his children Carol Plummer, son Ron
(Dayle) Spencer, Patty (Roger) Spencer and Judy (Tom) Schaeffer,
his sister Hallie McCluskey, his brothers Grady and Hap Spencer,
his grandchildren Tina Dake and Rob Spencer and great grandchildren
Kyle Chase and Nathan Dake. Donations in his memory can be made to
the American Lung Association of the Redwood Empire in Santa
Rosa.
