Robert Evans Morris, Analy ’34, 87, died on June 1 at his home.
Born in Rockford, Washington, he graduated from Santa Rosa Junior
College in 1937 and College of The Pacific in 1939. Bob joined the
Army Signal Corps to serve his country during World War II, and
completed his duty in 1945, moving to Santa Rosa to start a family
with his new bride Margaret Leonard Morris. They lived in a Quonset
hut community with other vets on the SRJC campus. There many
lifelong friendships were formed. He began his 35-year tenure at
Wells Fargo Bank, helping many businesses in the community get
their start when Santa Rosa was growing from a town to a city. He
is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lucille Morris, his sister and
brother-in-law Elizabeth and Lawrence Graham of Sebastopol, his
children Cheryl Stimmel of Diamond Springs, Steve and Ofelia Morris
of Sebastopol, Dawn and James Riley of Washington and Laura and Ron
Richelt of Los Angeles. He is also survived by his grandchildren
Coey Morris, Tressa Boulden, Jessica Peerman, Aja Riley, Michaela
Riley, Colin Richelt and Taylor Richelt and his great granddaughter
Tayah Peerman.
