Melvin Badger

Melvin L. Badger, 84, of Occidental, died on Dec. 18. A native
of Sebastopol, he served in the Navy in World War II. He retired in
1979 after working for California State Parks for more than 30
years, 20 at Sonoma Coast State Beach. He enjoyed gardening,
fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Gene, children,
Nancy and her husband, Jerry Lollar, Melanie and her husband, Gary
Lathan and Randy and his wife, Amy Badger, four grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. At his request, no services will be held.
Donations in his memory can be made to the Occidental Volunteer
Fire Department.
