Mildred E. Moose Hembree of Windsor, died Jan. 6, 2008 after a
long illness. She was 87. Mildred is survived by three daughters;
Jerry Schuman (Will), Lorena Van Leuven, and Laura Netter; eight
grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents; her sister Margaret Lawrence; and her husband
of 49 years, Atlas T. Hembree. She worked at Rosenberg’s Department
Store and at the Salvation Army stores in Santa Rosa. She was cared
for in the last three years of her life by her eldest grandson Todd
Schuman and for the last year of her life, her Sunday caregiver
Mohamed Ali, who was with her when she died. Friends were invited
to attend a memorial service Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at Family
Bible Church, 697 Benica Ave., Santa Rosa. Contributions in
Mildred’s memory are preferred to Sutter VNA, 1110 N. Dutton
Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
