Geyserville community market
The Geyserville Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly
farmers and community market 5:30 p.m. to sundown on Thursday, Aug.
19. The event features a variety of produce and crafts, music, and
a barbeque. The market will be held behind the Hoffman House at
21712 Geyserville Avenue north of downtown Geyserville. For more

Beer in the Plaza Sept. 11
The 14th Annual Beer in the Plaza by Soroptimist International
of Healdsburg will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 7
p.m. (Alcohol service stops at 6:30). Taste beers from more than 30
microbreweries and enjoy live music by The Remedies. Admission is
$20 and includes a souvenir glass and three tasting tickets for
beer or food. Additional tasting tickets are $1. Tickets are
available at Copperfields in Healdsburg, Bear Republic Brewing
Company and at the gate. Proceeds benefit community service
programs for women, families, seniors, and youth. For more

Beem to say goodbye
Longtime downtown Healdsburg barber Steve Beem of the Plaza
Barber Shop is retiring on Wednesday, August 25 after 38 years.
Loyal customers are setting up a book to honor him. Stop by his
