Jack W. Jones passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008 in Santa
Rosa. Jack is survived by his wife of eleven years and lifetime
friend, Doris Jones of Windsor. He was predeceased by his wife
Hazel Marie Jones. He was the beloved father of Greg Jones of Lake
County, Mark Jones of Petaluma and Raeann Dudek of Santa Rosa. He
was the stepfather of Dolores Lamm of Rohnert Park, Gary Turpen of
Santa Rosa, Wanda Devecchi of Clearlake and Perry (Virginia) Butler
of Santa Rosa. He was the brother of James Jones, Jr. of Washington
and Edward Jones of Texas. He was the grandfather of two and step
grandfather of seven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and
nephews. Jack was born in Wister, OK and lived in Sonoma County
over 65 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II,
1943 – 1946. Jack was a member of the Lion’s Club in Sacramento and
the Moose Lodge in Santa Rosa. He was very active in his boys lives
with their youth work in the Yurock and Pomo tribes. He also was
active in the Little League with his children and stepchildren.
Jack was an avid sports fan, 49er’s fan and loved fishing. Age 82.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service, Friday,
January 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540
Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa. A visitation will be held Thursday,
January 17, 2008 from 4 – 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1121 Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa. CA
