The third annual “Give Me Shelter” event to benefit the Humane Society of Sonoma County – Healdsburg took place on March 3 at the Villa Chanticleer. An exuberant crowd enjoyed lively auctions and raffles, local wines, fine food and fun in support of the Healdsburg Center and the animals.
Mark Gladden provided emcee and auctioneering talents; presentations from Humane Society of Sonoma County Executive Director, Cindy Roach, Vice President of the Board of Directors, Evelyn Mitchell and Healdsburg Center Manager, Alison Lane set the tone for an engaging, educational and fun night.
Sponsored by Big John’s Market, Healdsburg Sotheby’s, Sonoma Millworks Design, Damskey Family Wines and Exchange Bank, the event raised $102,000 for the animals. “What a lovely evening!
We are thankful for the support as we grow the programs and services for the animals in our Healdsburg community,” said Cindy Roach, HSSC executive director. “We are grateful to this compassionate community. The animals and future programs of the center will benefit greatly, and that’s what it’s all about.
