The next meeting of the Healdsburg Unified School District Board of Trustees sports a full agenda, focused on new elementary curriculum, school safety plans and budgetary matters.
The board will have a discussion about changing up the curriculum at Healdsburg Elementary School. The proposal is to incorporate the Blended Learning Program with Accelerated English. There will be reports on the audits of various school bonds (Measure E and Measure D), covering both the finances and performance of those bonds. Director of Business Services Steve Barekman will also present the second interim report on the year’s district budget.
There will also be an annual report on the Local Control Accountability Plan for the district, and several items related to safety, including approving the 2017-18 safe school plan and a school safety resolution covering all the actions taken by the district to improve student safety and wellbeing.
There will be a presentation on summer school offerings for 2018. There will be a vote on reduction or discontinuation of certain certificated services and an update of the job description for technology coordinator.
The next meeting of the Healdsburg Unified School District takes place Wednesday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Healdsburg High School, 1024 Prince Street, Healdsburg.
