North area workshop Tuesday
The Healdsburg Planning Commission will hold a workshop Tuesday night, May 8, to discuss a plan for a 32-acre parcel at the north end of Healdsburg Avenue, known as the Comstock property. The former lumber mill is the subject of a proposal to build a senior care facility, hotel, commercial space and apartments.
The commission held one workshop already, in late March. Tuesday’s workshop will allow the commission to comment on the proposal and on what should be included in a comprehensive plan for the area.
The workshop will be held at Healdsburg City Hall at 5 p.m.
Immediately afterward, the planning commission will hold its regular meeting. The commission will consider a change to city ordinances regulating temporary signs. The action is necessary to conform to new federal laws.
The commission will also consider a seven-unit commercial office project proposed for the 700-block of Healdsburg Avenue.
