Weapons, drugs, cash found
According to a report from the Healdsburg Police Department, on June 13, at 12:22 a.m., Healdsburg Police Officer Craig Smith pulled a Dodge Avenger over on northbound Highway 101 at the Dry Creek Road off ramp for travelling at an excessive rate of speed.
The vehicle initially yielded, according to the report, then drove back onto the northbound Highway 101 on ramp. Officer Smith initiated a pursuit of the fleeing vehicle and was soon joined by officers Nick Doherty and Sergeant Luis Rodriguez. As the pursuit continued northbound on Highway 101 the suspect vehicle reached speeds of approximately 90 miles per hour. As it approached a construction zone in the area of Geyserville, the vehicle was forced to slow down due to construction activity.
